How do you describe your work?
I've never thought about that actually. Technically pop-street-contemporary maybe? For me it's just a way to express what comes to my mind.
What does your art focus on?
Probably beauty and fun and staying positive. I'm quite bi-polar, meaning that from one side I am definitely a life-lover, I think the world (the nature, the different cultures, architecture, etc etc) is really amazing and I always concentrate on the beauty of this all, but on the other side I'm a chronic pessimist, mostly about human race because I'm truly convinced we are hopeless, and I rely on irony and sarcasm to save me from that. Aside from that, I've started three personal projects that I hope I will be able to put together one day.
Where are you based?
When did you join Instagram?
What triggers your imagination?
Everything. I can literally be inspired by everything. Random details surrounding me, beauty, nature, news, gossip. Everything can potentially be the starting point of a new image creating in my mind. Clearly I am most attracted by kitsch, opulence, colours, trash, vintage, pop. And the Kardashians of course.
How did INSTAGRAM make your work evolve?
It definitely helped me getting exposure and with that some important jobs, so I'm totally grateful to have this platform, It can really be useful if well used. And it is a great source for inspiration also.
Who are the people you work with?
I used to work with some italian and iternational brands (Hello Kitty, Disney, Nintendo among the others) for children/boys/girls school products and then I started working in the fashion system mostly as graphic/textile/print designer (Fausto Puglisi, Philipp Plein, Byblos Milano).
How often do you post?
Not everyday, usually up to 5 times a week. If I am on vacation/trip it's more, sometimes even twice a day, because I love travelling and discovering something new and share it.
What is your most liked artwork/ photo?
"The Blonde, The Brunette And The Flamingos", from one of my three personal projects in which I mix models with the same look from fashion show runway pictures and fashion advertising pictures).
It was liked by @Gucci too and from that moment on it got such a big exposure that it has become my most liked artwork.
WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?
I'd say 40% pop, 40% rnb, 20% hip-hop basically. I love too many artists but if I'd have to pick two I'd say Michael Jackson and Mariah Carey. Favourite song probably "Like A Prayer" by Madonna.
What are your latest projects or collaborations?
I've just finished working with/for Fausto Puglisi and now I have an exciting upcoming project with a brand that I love but I can't say more about that now.
How can someone reach you?
I've got my website www.andreagiacopuzzi.com with all the contacts info, but maily by e-mail at firstname.lastname@example.org.
