THETAABLE - OUT OF THE ORDINARY

OUT OF THE ORDINARY

HOW DO YOU DESCRIBE YOUR WORK?

Simple and ridiculously mundane with a spoonful of wit.

WHAT DOES YOUR ART FOCUS ON?

Our art mainly focuses on the remarkably ordinary things in life that one would presumably often overlook, we take this phenomena and strive to look at it from a different light and giving it the attention it needs. By incorporating simple everyday materials, one can easily relate to the familiarity and interpret the piece in their own way, hence appreciating the little things that go unnoticed.

WHAT TRIGGERS YOUR IMAGINATION?

The lingering mind, dreams, books, places and people.

WHERE ARE YOU BASED?

Jakarta, Indonesia.

HOW DID INSTAGRAM MAKE YOUR WORK EVOLVE?

It has allowed us to discover, engage and build relationships with our audiences as well as other creatives around the world, and consequently open up opportunities for collaborations.

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE YOU WORK WITH?

We’ve worked with a range of magazines, fashion labels, restaurants, and firms from perfectly commercial to wonderfully indie clients, just to name a few: Martha Stewart Living, KBF Paper – Japan, Barcode Magazine - Singapore, and Adobe.

HOW OFTEN DO YOU POST?

Once a week (we try to).

WHAT ACCOUNTS DO YOU FOLLOW RELIGIOUSLY?

WHAT IS YOUR MOST LIKED ARTWORK/ PHOTO?

Probably the image with decapitated Barbie legs.

WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?

Nothing specific, pretty much anything really, currently having Florence and The Machine playing on repeat at the studio for the past fewmonths (we definitely need a new playlist).

WHAT ARE YOUR LATEST PROJECTS OR COLLABORATIONS?

At the moment we are collaborating with a make-up label and patisserie chef, we’re also working on a personal book project featuring our unpublished works.
